Applications Won’t be Accepted After March 2024
In anticipation of the funds being exhausted by March 2024, the federal government has announced that the Greener Homes Grant program will stop receiving applications sooner than expected. While the program might not be completely wrapped up until 2025, applications won’t be accepted after March 2024.

The Greener Homes Grant
The Canada Greener Homes Grant was created by the government of Canada to help homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to Canada’s carbon emissions reduction goals. Eligible households can receive up to $5,600 for installing an energy-efficient retrofit in their home, including heat pumps and smart thermostats.
HER+
Enbridge Gas is co-delivering their advanced rebate and the Canada Greener Homes Grant through the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program. Through this program, eligible Canadians and Enbridge customers can qualify for up to $7,100 back on eligible ENERGY STAR® certified heat pumps.
