Many homeowners in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph areas were excited about the announcement of GreenON rebates. It was a way to save money while making energy-efficient upgrades to the home. However, on June 19, 2018, GreenON rebates were abruptly closed and the incentives are no longer available to homeowners.
People that already have a signed work agreement with a participating contractor for upgrades are still eligible to receive the rebates; however, work has to be completed by August 31, 2018, and the rebate application must be submitted by September 30, 2018.
If you don’t have a signed work agreement dated before June 19, 2018—you are not eligible for any GreenON rebates. |
Even though GreenON rebates have been cancelled, there are still a number of other incentives available to area homeowners.
Energy Rebates – Enbridge and Union Gas usually always have rebates available for homeowners that want to upgrade the efficiency of their homes. These incentives could provide significant savings when replacing a furnace with a new qualifying high efficiency furnace.
Manufacturer Rebates – Heating and cooling manufacturers like Daikin and Lennox have seasonal promotions that allow for instant savings on certain home comfort systems.
There’s a number of rebates and incentives available to homeowners to save on new heating and cooling systems. If you have questions about the cancellation of the GreenON rebates or want to learn about other incentives, don’t hesitate to call Delta Air Systems, we’re always happy to help!
