A ductless mini-split system can be used in conjunction with a forced air furnace and central air conditioning to provide increased comfort throughout the whole house. There are times when you’ll need additional heat or air conditioning in areas of your home, and installing a ductless mini-split will be a better option than running new ductwork to your home’s existing HVAC.
Home Addition — When increasing square footage to a home, you’ll have to figure out how to heat and cool the new space. Running ductwork from the current system can be expensive and could even require a upgrading to a bigger furnace and air conditioner. A better option is to install a ductless system that provides zoned heating and cooling and doesn’t require expensive ducts to tie into the furnace and air conditioner.
Garage Renovation — Many people use their garages for additional living space, a hobby room or workshop. Instead of using a window air conditioner or space heater to keep the area usable year-round—a ductless mini-split is a more efficient (and safer) option.
Sunroom – In our climate, a sunroom cannot be used all year round because it’s often too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer to enjoy the space comfortably. However, a ductless mini-split can help regulate the temperature and extend the amount of time a sunroom can be enjoyed.
A ductless system can be used in conjunction with the current heating and cooling system to provide comfort in new or updated spaces in your home.
