Which Daikin Ductless System Is Right for You?

Ductless Air Conditioner

A ductless air conditioner works in a similar fashion to a central air conditioner in its ability to powerfully and efficiently cool your home, however, a ductless air conditioner does not require pre existing ductwork throughout the home to provide cool air. Instead, it’s installed with minimal invasion with one outdoor unit and several indoor heads. Ductless air conditioners individually control the temperature of each room, allowing you to choose your personal temperature preference in each room of the house.

Ductless Heat Pump

A ductless heat pump is very similar to a ductless air conditioner in its ability to work independently from your home’s preexisting (or nonexistent) ductwork, as well as its ability to individually climatize each room of your home. However, the main difference between a ductless air conditioner and a ductless heat pump is that a heat pump has the ability to both cool and heat your home from one system while a ductless air conditioner can only cool your home.

How to Access Heat Pump Grants

Once you have decided on a heat pump system, one of our Home Comfort Advisors will connect you with an energy auditor to book your appointment. The energy auditor will perform the pre-installation energy audit and start the online application process with you. They will return to do a post-installation inspection after the equipment is installed and help you complete your online application. You pay the energy auditor separately for the audits, but up to $600 is eligible to be covered by grant money.

We were pleased with the service of Delta Air Services. They installed a new furnace and AC unit so quickly. We were so please with Richard and Kyle's expertise. They were also very polite and courteous. They had done the install with little disruption to the household. By mid-day the furnace was operation and running overnight. While exploring vendors for gas fireplace services it was clear that Delta Air Systems were up front and honest by displaying a price and stated the services provided for that price. This carried all the way through to the Service Dept that confirmed same. From the person who answer the phone/ service adviser/ to service person there seemed to be an excellent customer service culture in this company. Braedon the tech who came out, listened to what i told him about currentStatus of fireplace and went about his work efficiently. Very happy with the service we received with the purchase and installation of our new furnace and AC. Tanya took the time to squeeze us into her schedule last minute and come out to give us a quote as well as explain to us (in terms that we could understand) all the different systems available. Unlike some of the other companies that came to give us quotes she did not try to pressure us into an up-sale.During the installation, Liam and Fabio were very careful and considerate about cleaning up after themselves and not causing any damage when removing the old system. They were accommodating when it came time to let the dog out into the yard for a washroom break. Liam was very helpful in answering any questions that I had and ensuring that I understood how to use the new system.Tammy made invoicing and payment a breeze. The option to pay over the phone and split up the payment was very convenient. It also allowed for us to earn extra points on our credit card 😊If I had to do it all over again, I would 100% go with Delta and you should too!

They were able to diagnose my problem, provided equipment replacement options at competitive prices AND they were able to replace my unit the very next day. My technicians Jason and Steven were courteous, professional, put protection down on my floors to keep things clean and made recommendations for future upgrades and services that would extend the life of my heating and cooling equipment. All around the Delta team did a great job and I will be using them again for my service and heating/cooling equipment needs. Excellent work from Delta Air specifically by Kyle and Richard. They installed the A/C quickly and explained to me every step of the way what they were going to do. Once completed they walked me through a full review of the unit and the work completed as well as what maintenance was required. The entire job was neat and clean and they identified for me all electrical lines, cooling lines and condensate lines installed plus a review of the electrical breaker panel. Both installers also explained to me about the maintenance program available through Delta including the filter maintenance for the circulating air. I would recommend Delta Air Systems and this team for any work you may need for your home heating and cooling. True professionals!Thank-you Kyle and Richard!!

Our air conditioner failed on one of the hottest days last week and we requested an consult with Delta immediately and Matt, a representative from Delta contacted us early the next day. We met and he examined our system and sent us three quotes that same day. We chose the unit we wanted and that same day, Tammy, from Delta, scheduled an installation for Friday, but a opening came up for Thursday and we took it of course!The installers, Kyle and Richard showed up on time Thursday morning and did a great job removing the old unit and installing the new one. Whoever installed the old heat exchanger did a pretty sloppy job, but the Delta installers replaced the heat exchanger and the new the one was neat and you could tell it was done properly. Before they left, they tested all the components, replaced the thermostat and made sure the system was working properly. They left the furnace room looking clean and a lot neater than they found it.We couldn't be more pleased with the work done by the whole Delta team.

Jamie (Sales) was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to identifying the problem with my home AC/Furnace. He took his time measuring, discussing pro's/con's of replacement options, and went out of his way to provide detailed quotes in a timely manner. Arthur (installer) and his crew was very professional and competent in their work. The setup and cleanup was done well. They asked questions along the way to make sure that I was comfortable with all their decisions. Phoned early on a Monday morning as the AC system was not working properly. Pleasant and helpful phone call, asked good questions re what was wrong and then advised I would receive a service call Monday afternoon after 3pm. Shortly after 3pm Braedon arrived, pleasant, polite and started diagnostics straight away. Identified problem, explained solutions and sought approval, and then showed me what to check on in case problem came back ( the AC system was installed by Delta 27 years ago, this was first problem). So Braedon was helpful, worked quickly and was successful in fixing the problem. It is good to have knowledgeable and helpful people who both take the call and fix the problem. We were looking for a company to install a heat pump to replace our aging gas furnace. We obtained three quotes and Delta provided the best price, in one case many thousand dollars less than another local competitor.However, it is the service that truly impressed us. Tanya was outstanding. She took the time to explain the mechanics, the cost inputs and the applicable rebates. The installation crew did a great job putting in the heat pump and a back up gas furnace.
